Get to know Surgeon Dr. Alexander L. Shifrin, who serves patients in Neptune, New Jersey. 

Board certified surgeon, Dr. Shifrin, is currently serving Neptune and the surrounding communities in New Jersey. He is affiliated with Jersey Shore University Medical Center, a not-for-profit academic medical center, and one of the busiest medical centers in the state, it is a university medical center affiliate of UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. They aim to improve the health of the community and advance medicine through clinical care, teaching, and research.  Dr. Shifrin established the first Endocrine Surgery Program at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in 2006. The Program has received a designated status by the Center for Thyroid, Parathyroid and Adrenal Diseases. Under Dr Shifrin’s leadership has gained state, national, and international recognition for clinical excellence in the management of complex endocrine diseases including thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal problems and endocrine syndromes, research, and training of residents and students. Additionally, he has served as the Medical Director of Endocrine Oncology at Hackensack Meridian Health System
